Events | 14 April 10am – 5pm Loddon Lily Sunday
14th April 2024
We are sorry we couldn’t open last week on Sunday 7 April due to Storm Kathleen. Please join us today, Sunday 14 April, instead! Celebrate the return of spring with our Loddon lily open days. The buds are beginning to burst, and this Goring Gap spectacle is not one to miss.
This year we are opening for longer, 10am – 5pm. You are welcome to make the most of your visit by bringing a picnic and refreshments. We have some wonderful new places to sit, as well as our waterfront deck and hides to quietly watch and wait for wildlife to appear.
Entry to the reserve is free – but donations are welcome.
P.S. Remember that Streatley Crossroads (Wallingford Road/A392 Reading Road/Streatley Hill/High Street) in the parish of Streatley will be closed from 07:00hrs on 13 April 2024, and will reopen by 22:00hrs on 14 April 2024. This closure is to enable Volker Highways to carry out resurfacing work as part of the highway improvement programme on behalf of West Berkshire Council.
P.P.S. To protect wildlife and habitats, dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not allowed on the reserve. They are welcome at the study centre side if kept under control and on a lead. Please also remember to take your litter home.
