Events | 13 April 10am – 5pm Loddon Lily Sunday

13th April 2025

Celebrate the return of spring with our Loddon lily open days. Our signature flower is blooming and is looking particularly glorious this year. The forecast is sunny and just right for a stroll.

Make the most of your visit by bringing a picnic and refreshments. We have wonderful places to sit, as well as our waterfront deck, tree log seating, and hides for quiet watching and waiting for wildlife to appear.

Entry to the reserve is free – but donations are welcome.

We love dogs, however to protect wildlife and habitats, dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not allowed on the reserve. They are welcome at the study centre side if kept under control and on a lead.

The branches of a willow tree are just coming into leaf, with the branch tips grazing the water of the river Thames. There is a slight ripple in the water, from passing boats. A languid, spring day.
A soft underfoot path with trees just coming into leaf, leads into the main reserve. All is calm on a spring day, with the joy of walking through the reserve ahead.
