Events | 10 May 10am – 5pm Loddon Lily Sunday

10th May 2026

Join us for our last Loddon Lily Sunday of the season! Our Loddon lilies have been loving this warm weather. Although heading towards the end of their flowering season, you can spy the seedheads forming, ready to be carried downstream and settle in the winter wet.

Make the most of your visit by bringing a picnic and refreshments. We have wonderful places to sit, as well as our waterfront deck, tree log seating, and hides for quiet watching and waiting for wildlife to appear.

Entry to the reserve is free – but donations are welcome.

We love dogs, however to protect wildlife and habitats, dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not allowed on the reserve. They are welcome at the study centre side if kept under control and on a lead.

A close up of the nodding Loddon lily flower, its petals pointing down like a ballerina's skirt.
The branches of a willow tree are just coming into leaf, with the branch tips grazing the water of the river Thames. There is a slight ripple in the water, from passing boats. A languid, spring day.
