A little bird told us it’s time for some Citizen Science this Sunday!

This month we’re taking the Merlin app for a walkabout, so why not join our Warden and one of our Trustees on a flit around the reserve? Take the opportunity to learn all about the Merlin app for identifying – and hopefully seeing! – the birds you can hear in your area and, most importantly, learn how you can easily submit that data to help monitor species densities, distributions and diversity.

The walk starts at 10.30 and lasts for about an hour. You then have the opportunity to go off into the reserve and see what else you can see and hear!

Please ensure you have downloaded the app before the day. For keen birders, consider downloading the eBird app from Cornell Lab as well, which works in conjunction with Merlin.

There is no charge for this event, although donations are greatly appreciated.

We love dogs, however to protect wildlife and habitats, dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not allowed on the reserve. They are welcome at the study centre side if kept under control and on a lead.
