Events | 24 Jan 10am – 12.30pm ‘Withymead on Tour’ Saturday Morning Community Coffee Shop, Woodcote

24th January 2026

Withymead Nature Reserve is going on tour! We’re running the Woodcote Community Coffee Shop 10am-12.30pm, on Saturday 24 Jan. Come and join us. We’ll have our delicious signature cakes and bakes, tea and coffee for sale, plus second-hand books, merchandise, and a really great raffle too.

It’s in aid of our fundraising campaign to raise £115k to replace the last section of our old precarious wooden boardwalk and footbridge, with a new accessible boardwalk and step-free bridge so that everyone can enjoy the freedom of being outdoors. It will also connect to last year’s new section to reinstate the continuous loop through the wetland reedbeds.

The Coffee Shop is in the community centre next to the Library, on the Reading Road in Woodcote, postcode RG8 0QY. For those who need parking, it’s a very short walk from the village hall car park.

Join us to find out why it matters, what your support will achieve, and the difference it will make, as well as enjoying some very good cake!

The old narrow boardwalk with reed fen growing through its slats, looking slippery and rickety in the autumn wet.
