Events | 28 April 10am – 5pm Ladybird nature trail

Bring your little explorers to Withymead on Sunday 28 April and learn all about our native ladybugs! After our much loved butterfly trail in 2023 we bring you a new exciting ladybird nature trail for you and your little ones to explore, practice your identification and counting skills and a chance for a small prize for every participating child. There is also a design your own ladybird competition with a prize for the most creative ladybird.

Details for entry will be provided on the day, so why not pop by and enjoy learning about some of the smaller creatures at Withymead. What better way to start spring than learning all about our native ladybirds and how you can help record them. No need to book, just show up on the day.

Cream teas and refreshments served 2 – 5pm, and the Loddon lilies are in full bloom too. It may be a little wet so do wear suitable footwear and clothing.

Entry to the reserve is free, donations are welcome.

P.S. To protect wildlife and habitats, dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not allowed on the reserve. They are welcome at the study centre if kept under control and on a lead.
